Prior Synthesis
I started the Prior Synthesis group to provide a forum for anyone interested in the existence of God without any agenda. Although I believe in God, I have been studying philosophical atheism for several decades. I am interested in all the arguments both for and against the existence of God. If you are a philosophy student at a university or college or just want to know more about the controversies, this group is for you. Whether you are an atheistic, agnostic, theist, skeptic or just don't know yet what you believe but would like a resource for probing deeper into the subject, you are welcome here. This is a serious group for the systematic analysis of arguments pro and con, partly for students but equally for those without a background in technical philosophical analysis but who want exposure to the full essence of discussions found in philosophical treatises, textbooks, and journals. Remember: this group is *solely* for the study of arguments for and against the existence of God. If you believe in God, I urge you to read books by Kai Neilsen or other philosophical atheists. If you do not believe in God, I suggest you read books by William Lane Craig or other philosophical theists.
